The second edition of our open source, video surveillance book is now released and available for download immediately.  With over 50% new material, this edition should be far more comprehensive in its coverage and ability to explain fundamental issues.

What's New in the Book?

This edition adds 60 pages of tutorials and practical analysis of key technologies and trends in the industry. A significant portion of the new content is on understanding the issues surrounding IP cameras. This replaces about 60 pages of product analysis.

The book also includes a tutorial guide to help you locate resources across the web to learn more on a variety of topics.

Why Did You Remove the Product Analysis?

I judged the product analysis sections as too technical and advanced for this book.  I want to make sure that readers with less background in video surveillance can make the most out of it.
