Getting Started in Video Surveillance

There's a lot of information on video surveillance that you can quickly access to learn the basics. In the screencast below, we discuss how to use the tutorials and access the free Video Surveillance Guide.

Finding What's New in Video Surveillance

In this screencast, we provide 4 recommendations on staying informed with new video surveillance developments. We reference the News section, our RSS feed, a bundled feed aggregating over 100 video surveillance/security blogs I follow and using Twitter.

Finding Information on Companies and Products

There are hundreds of companies in the video surveillance market with very few dominant 'players'. This means that there are a lot of options to consider. In this screencast, we provide recommendations on how to find information about various companies including the use of our Video Surveillance company directory.

Searching for Video Surveillance Information

There's lot of video surveillance information all over the web. Unfortunately, it can be hard to find in regular search engines because companies selling products on-line and unrelated video content is ranked high in search results. In this screencast, we explain how to use our Video Surveillance search engine to find highly relevant information from our hand-edited database of video surveillance reports.

What's inside the Premium Subscription Service?

If you need in-depth reviews and analysis of video surveillance products and trends, the Video Surveillance Professional Service is an excellent choice. The service provides product comparisons, tests, market research, weekly analysis and unique monitoring of news and companies in the space. In this screencast, we explain how it works and the benefits.

How do I sign up?

You can sign up from the Subscription overview page. The signup process uses SSL for security and is managed by Authorize.net, a leading merchant account provider. You can use Visa, Mastercard, AmericanExpress or Discover.

How do I cancel my subscription?

The subscription can be cancelled anytime - simply login, click on the link labeled 'Cancel My Subscription' on the right hand side, confirm cancellation and the process is complete.

For Manufacturers: How do I get covered/reviewed on IP Video Market Info?

If you'd like to be covered, please send a detailed e-mail to jhonovich@ipvideomarket.info. The e-mail should explain how your product provides more value or is novel compared to existing market offerings. These advantages include newer technology, solving problems not currently addressed, lower cost offerings, targeting underserved market segments, etc. It must be relative to existing video surveillance companies.

Please do not send a 3 sentence e-mail saying "This is my company. We do x. I'd like to be covered on your site."  I read all the e-mails I receive but if there are no details in the e-mail, I am forced to spend significant time on your website trying to figure out what makes you different or interesting. I generally do not have the time to do this so the more details the better.

My goal is to provide information on technology and products that the community would find interesting or novel. It's not based on ad purchases or sponsorships so as long as I can understand your advantages, I will be happy to review and feature you on the site.
