This directory collects and presents webcasts from leading IP and Megapixel surveillance cameras. The goal is to help professionals to more easily understand the various product offerings on the market.

Included are webcasts from Axis, Pelco, IQinVision, Vivotek, ACTi, Avigilon, Mobotix, Cisco, Pixim, StarDot, JVC and Dallmeier. [Note: Those new to the site or video surveillance should download the free video surveillance book and review the tutorials]

Axis

Axis is the largest seller of IP cameras globally. They focus on premium products and early commercialization of new technologies.

 

Pelco

Pelco is the largest manufacturer of surveillance cameras. Pelco's new product launch is a line of IP/megapixel cameras - Sarix (see our Sarix review). In this webcast, the benefits of Sarix are explained. 

 

IQinVision

IQinVision is a leading megapixel camera manufacturer. They provide the largest range of megapixel cameras on the market.

 

Vivotek

Vivotek is one of the leading providers of budget IP camera manufacturers. 

 

ACTi

ACTi is one of the leading providers of budget IP cameras. They offer a broad range of IP and 1.3 MP cameras. ACTi is frequently viewed as a low cost, good enough alternative to Axis.

 

Avigilon

Avigilon is a specialist in megapixel / high-definition video surveillance. They manufacturer both megapixel cameras and VMS software (see our Avigilon review). The webcast overviews Avigilon's offerings and strengths.

 

Mobotix

Mobotix is the largest megapixel manufacturer in the world. While their cameras are supported by many 3rd party VMS providers, they focus on all Mobotix solution using their camers and their free VMS (see our Mobotix review). In this webcast, the advantages of Mobotix's decentralized architecture are examined.

 

Cisco

Cisco is the global leader in networking equipment and is attempting to succeed in IP video surveillance solution (see our review on Cisco's struggles). In this webcast, Cisco describes one of its two camera models offered.

 

Pixim

Pixim is the leader in Wide Dynamic Range chipsets that enable cameras to provide quality images in extreme lighting conditions. They OEM their chips to numerous camera manufacturers.

 

StarDot

StarDot is a megapixel camera specialist, relatively new to the security market, but with extensive experience in deploying megapixel for construction and web attractions. In this video, they explain how to setup their cameras for 24/7 license plate capture.

 

JVC PoE PTZ

JVC is a manufacturer of video surveillance equipment. They have recently released a PoE capable PTZ that uses a direct drive motor. This video provides a comparison in the speed and abilities of their direct drive PTZ to traditional PTZs.

 

Dallmeier

Dallmeier is a video surveillance manufacturer specialist. In the video series below, Dallmeier provides a dozen lessons on general CCTV technology and their product line. The series includes discussion and commentary from global CCTV guru Vlado Damjanovski.
