VideoIQ offers a smart camera with built in storage and video analytics. The company was acquired and then spun out of GE Security. In July 2008, they received an $10 M investment. Though the company originally started with providing video analytics, they have now migrated to providing an all in one camera. The camera eliminates the need for NVRs and is targeted at small camera count deployments where such elimination can provide cost savings. Since the product is new, its features and fit will take time to develop and discern.
