NetDVR60b release notes 1. General Revision 6.0b extends the utilization of the NetDVR platform in multi-user organizations by removing the limitation of five concurrent remote clients (NetGuard and NetGuard-EVS), thus allowing an unlimited number of concurrent users to access video from a single NetDVR server. In addition, the new revision includes fixes to a number of known issues as well as improved NetGuard-EVS

OnSSI Video Clients Best Practices Guidelines This goal of the guide is to educate System Administrator’s on how to configure client video demands
while obtaining optimal performance and limiting the strain on server resources. 1) All NetDVMS servers should be dedicated to running the NVR software. Running third party programs will take away precious resources needed (such as CPU, RAM and Hard Drive abilities) needed by the OnSSI Software. Running such programs may result in degraded recording and inconsistent video to the clients.
2.) NetGuard should not be an ‘open client distribution’: It requires good administration policies to ensure
that client services are correctly provided and managed so that no one person or group of people can
openly modify any such services that will impact the overall performance for all client users as well as
NVR server performance.
3.) Strategy for all ‘camera naming’ is crucial for easy identification along with the naming of Camera
Views within the clients for each specific user account added.

Orlando Police Department Case Study The Orlando PD is one of the first public safety agencies to deploy “Event Mesh,” a portable wireless mesh video surveillance architecture for securing public functions. As early as 2005, the police department started using fully distributed mesh systems developed by Firetide as the wireless backhaul for video security applications.
Event mesh enables the Orlando PD to network video cameras for flexible and scalable surveillance, to monitor a variety of unique situations. “On one day, we might need the system to secure the annual ‘4th of July in the Park’ event,” says Orlando PD Electronic Surveillance Support Team agent Jeffery Blye. “The next day, we might need more mobility so we can closely monitor crowds during the ‘National Socialist Movement of Orlando Parade.’ Event mesh allows us the flexibility to scale for both.” As one of the early adopters of event mesh, Blye is uniquely aware of how the market has changed in just two or three years. “Not only do lower costs help us justify new acquisitions, but better integration helps us save time getting our system into the field,” Blye says.
